Lauren Potter you may well know as Becky Jackson on the popular television show Glee. She identifies with Becky, likes her and knows what they have in common. How did she get this role? She says, with a perfect sense of self-awareness, that the director wanted someone who was cute and a little spunky. Lauren talks about her life, her moments of shyness as a person with Down syndrome, making friends, her large and loving family, her mom who helps with her career and whom she calls “my momager”, and the joys of being pampered at the studio. And, thank you, Lauren, for telling us what you love best about your boyfriend, and what he loves best about you. It is a perfect lesson in what to look for in love.

Listen to Lauren talk about all this and more in her own sweet voice. Her love letter? It has to do with the depths of her love for her mother. On the other hand, as a person who is surrounded by so much love in her life and has become an eloquent and powerful advocate for appreciating differences and eliminating bullying, the possibilities of love letters are vast. Maybe a well-deserved one to herself?
